OUR STORY

Our story began in Singapore, where we both found ourselves living far from family but forging new connections in unexpected times. We met during the pandemic, a period when lockdowns and travel restrictions made the world feel smaller and more uncertain than ever. Yet amidst all the challenges, something special grew between us - a bond that thrived even in the most unusual circumstances.

As time went on, we built our life together in Singapore, sharing our home with our beloved cat, Stoffie. One of the first places we travelled to after the pandemic was The Surin in Thailand, a trip that felt like a breath of fresh air after so much uncertainty. It gave us hope again for the future and solidified our love for this beautiful corner of the world.

Thailand holds deep personal meaning for Jan Willem, who spent part of his childhood in Bangkok, and it became even more special when we got engaged there. Now, we’re excited to share this place with our closest friends and family, celebrating our love at The Surin - a place that’s not just beautiful but also symbolic of the new chapter in our lives.
